The finalists of the Cosmopack Awards 2026 have been officially unveiled, spotlighting some of the most advanced solutions in beauty manufacturing, cosmetic packaging and supply chain innovation ahead of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, taking place from March 26 to 28.
Organised as part of the Cosmoprof platform, the Cosmopack Awards recognise breakthrough technologies and developments across the cosmetics production chain, from formulations and raw materials to packaging, sustainability and manufacturing technologies. The competition highlights innovations launched or scheduled to launch between April 2025 and March 2026 by companies exhibiting at the show.
The 2026 edition includes six key categories covering the entire beauty supply chain: Hair Care Formula, Make-Up Formula, Skin Care Formula, Innovation Technology, Packaging: Design & Materials and Sustainability. Each category features four shortlisted entries selected by an international jury of industry experts based on criteria such as innovation, design, sustainability impact and technological performance.
Among the most closely watched segments is Packaging: Design & Materials, which continues to reflect the growing importance of circular design, refillable formats and alternative materials in cosmetic packaging development.
Previous finalists in this category have showcased how packaging innovation is increasingly driven by sustainability and functional performance. Examples include Knoll Printing & Packaging’s Ecoform Molded Pulp Compact, a plastic-free compact made from plant-based fibres such as bamboo and sugarcane designed to support refill systems and easier recyclability. Another example is Shinkwang M&P’s Air Mist, an airless dispensing system that replaces traditional aerosol propellants with compressed air technology to deliver a fine mist while reducing environmental impact.
Solutions like these highlight how the beauty industry is rethinking packaging structures, materials and dispensing systems to align with evolving sustainability goals and consumer expectations.
